COURSE OVERVIEW
MONDAY
Research & Concept. An immersive day of design research and mood board creating. You will be exposed to trend forecasting information-including magazines and film. The day will end with the creation of a mood board based on the brief theme, Nature Surrounds Me.
TUESDAY
Design. We spend the class exploring various methods of applique and dying techniques. We also explore methods of how to best communicate design ideas on paper – fashion rendering. Sketching your applique layout and placement onto white shirt template.
WEDNESDAY
Make. We will use techniques taught in lesson 1 & 2 to physically applique our own white shirt. Once you are happy with your product, we look at reading your design idea and product for presentation to an audience.
THURSDAY
Fashion Design Presentation. It is crucial that designers can communicate their ideas to an audience in a concise, clear manner. Today is all about selling your idea and product to future customers. We will be doing a flat lay and styling your look. Students will also be presenting their final white shirt along with their mood board.
