Lexus South African Menswear Week once again hosted some of Africa’s top established and emerging designers, showcasing their new Autumn/Winter 2017 ranges. DAF alumni, Nicholas Coutts, presented his 70’s-inspired range with his signature weaving technique and fresh colours popping on the runway designed for the “contemporary man who likes classic style with a twist”, as he tells us. He also was also inspired by “South Africa’s diverse culture, celebrating freedom and originality”.

DAF part-time lecturer, Alexandra Blank, also showcased her trans-seasonal unisex range full of statement prints on satin and distressed denim inspired by epic classics and the digital age on personality-prominent models who walked down the runway to a live rock band.

The shows were unforgettable and we look forward to seeing what our DAF-familia designers have to delight us with next.
