We couldn’t be more proud of DAF graduate, Hannah Lavery, whose limited edition Tencel Shirt Dress was worn by none other than The Duchess Of Sussex, Meghan Markle, yesterday in Johannesburg.

The Duke and Duchess visited Tembisa township to meet young entrepreneurs at the Youth Employment Services (YES) Hub in Makhulong. Launched in April 2018, YES is a non-profit organisation that aims to tackle youth unemployment in South Africa by providing work experience for one year to previously disadvantaged youth between the ages of 18 and 35.

Hannah Lavery’s brand is dedicated to ethical production that is transparent and relational, feeding opportunity where possible into the local industry. She produces alongside a team of known and skilled makers, a subtly innovative and locally grounded line of clothing for women.
