Course Description

On Completion
After completing the Pattern Making & Garment Construction Course, you will have the knowledge and skills to create basic pattern blocks, such as overgarments and easy-fitting pants, using patterns from the Metric Pattern Cutting book. You’ll also be able to construct related patterns like pockets, facings, darts, and seams. Additionally, you will understand how to select appropriate fabrics for your designs and have the confidence to sew your garments, either using provided calico fabric or fabrics of your choice.

Course Description
Our Advanced Tailoring and Pattern Making short course is an immersive journey into the art of creating meticulously tailored garments. Application Form
After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email. You’ll also be redirected to make your registration payment online. Please keep in mind that your spot in the course is only secured upon payment of the registration fee.
TERMS OF ACCEPTANCE
Any student who registers for a Short Course is liable for the entire course fee, irrespective of whether the student completes the course or not.
The payment of the registration fee in the amount of R500 (for one course) or R1000 (for two courses) will secure your spot in the class.
The registration fee is non-refundable.
The payment of course fees must be paid before the short course starts. (when selecting one course.)
When selecting two courses, you have the option of paying for each separately before the course starts, or splitting the total fees over 4 monthly instalments.
The short courses are not credit bearing and are not registered with the South African Qualifications Authority but it does create a solid base for anyone wanting to pursue studies in fashion.
On completion, students will receive a certificate of completion.
Short course students will receive their certificate of completion on condition that they attend all classes, submit all relevant class work and pass all assessments
The person responsible for payment of fees shall be held liable to DAF for the cost of repairing any damage to its property caused by the student.
