On Saturday 13 August, Design Academy of Fashion will be having its annual open day and we invite anyone and everyone to join us.  We open the doors at 9:00 and will stay open till 14:00.  It gives prospective students and their parents an opportunity to interact with DAF staff and students.  The 1st to 3rd years will be showcasing their work from illustrations to competition winning garments.

This event is also an opportunity for the students to raise funds for their annual fashion show which will be held at the Old Biscuit Mill on the 24 November 2011.  The students will be selling refreshments and cup cakes with a creative flair.  There will be a raffle with some amazing goodies to be won, and the students have made eco-friendly hemp bags to sell.

We took some photos of the students production line and the cool bag they created.  We hope it entices you to come through to be the owner of one of these limited edition DAF bags, and its only R60!

Thanks to Tony from the Hemporium for providing the fabric!

See you Saturday!
